How to Build a Network Marketing Prospect List Online

Do you have a bulging list of prospects to which you can send information and offers? Why not? Believe it or not, this is a very critical part of your business as a network marketer. Why? Because let’s fact it, the conversion percentages on leads are smaller than your average online sales conversion. This is due to the fact that not everyone is cut out for the MLM business in the first place.

The Beauty of a Customer List

You might be asking – what does all this have to do with a customer list? Well, because those conversion numbers are so low, you will need to turn some of those non-conversions into paying customers in order to stay in business. If they don’t join your main business, then perhaps later they would be interested in an affiliate product that you could offer them. Better yet, maybe they would even buy two or more affiliate items from you. This is what will finance your marketing expenses as you seek out associates for your main business.

Start Your Web Marketing Presence Today

Whether you have a network marketing business or some other kind of business, you will definitely need to establish yourself online.  Why?  Because if you don’t, your competitors will.  You don’t have to look very far to see all the cadavers laying by the side of the internet highway.  Remember stock brokers and travel agents?  How many of them have gone away?  Only the ones who decided to adapt to the new way of marketing are still around – and probably with a lot less competition too.

At the very least, you need about a 4-5 page website that provides an overview of your services and products.  You should stress why people should chose you over your competitors – I don’t mean to slamdunk your competition – I mean stating what you offer that others don’t.  And finally, you should have your contact information, street address, and phone numbers so that potential customers know how to place an order with you. Your MLM is Completely Dead Without This

Have you ever pondered exactly what is the most important part of your network marketing business? Sure we put a lot of value into our methods of recruiting and our training programs, but what is that getting us? We certainly add value by learning our products, services, and our business opportunity inside and out. But the fact is that you can spend hours and hours on all those things and still fall flat on your face.

The answer is the same as it would be for any other business – leverage. That’s right, leverage is the most important element of your business. This is what you are after when you train and recruit. You are enjoying the fruits of leverage when you build up a nice residual income stream. But that is not the strongest part of the leverage in your business. The strongest part is the leverage you have from your downline.

How to be a More Decisive Network Marketing Team Leader

mlm-leader

As you build your MLM team, you will quickly realize that you will need to be decisive as the leader of your downline. Many of your team members have never done anything like MLM before and they are scared to death of losing their money, scared of not doing the right thing, and just plain afraid of failure in general. You have to learn to be reassuring and supportive, even if you are feeling some of those fears yourself.

The good news is that this is nowhere near the daunting task that it may appear to be. In fact, it is very simple in theory. The bad news is that it will take some discipline on your part. As with any habit change, you usually have to consciously concentrate on changing your bad habit for the first three (3) weeks. After that, it starts becoming part of your routine.

To become more decisive, you have to make two (2) philosophical decisions:

3 Big Mistakes That Cause Network Marketers To Fail

Many people are willing to plop down a couple of hundred bucks on a great MLM business opportunity presented to them by a friend or family member. However, in a few short months over 95% of them have quit trying to promote their new business or have gotten out of the business altogether. This is a pretty alarming number when you think about it. After all, your standard brick and mortar business on the street corner has a better success rate than that. So what’s up with this horrible number?

I have examined this quite thoroughly and have concluded that these failures are attributed to one or more of three things. Let us examine each one:

1) You must treat it like a business. If you observe people who have invested in these MLM businesses, you will see that most of them are actually treating it like a hobby. I think the big reason for this is because they are so inexpensive to start. Of course, this was probably one of the selling points. Another selling point is that you only have to work on it “part time” for “extra income.” No wonder people don’t treat their network marketing opportunities very seriously, they have been sold on the hobby aspect of it. The sponsors have done them no favors by stating how simple or easy these businesses are. Nothing could be further from the truth.

The Most Overlooked Business Truth in the World

Few people are aware of the most overlooked business truth in existence today. We try to over complicate how to run a business. We try to over analyze what makes a business succeed. We definitely over educate ourselves in business schools and colleges all over the USA. If you have been paying attention at all, then you already know that very few people who have business degrees – even graduate degrees – ever end owning and operating their own business. They usually run someone else’s business and in most cases, they have no clue at all what it takes to actually operate one.

3 Main Reasons Why Network Marketing Works

People who have studied hundreds of MLMs over a period of years have indicated the following reasons why network marketing is so effective:

Supplemental Income is Offered

Even in a strong economy, lots of people are seeking an extra income. People are just tired of living paycheck to paycheck. They can’t afford the things they want, or to send their kids to college. Since there is no chance at getting extra funds from their employers, they part time businesses at home. MLMs are perfect in that they require very little start up costs.

Advertising Makes The Network Marketing World Go Around

Often times, we are allured into the MLM opportunity by promises of low start-up cost and very low maintenance costs to keep our business going. We are told that we can run the business on a shoestring, and that if we are willing to work hard, then we will grow our business. Many of us are told that marketing our business will cost us either time or money – or perhaps some of both. And for the most part, this is all true. But what we don’t bargain for is the lack of results when we decide to spend our time instead of our money. Nor do we bargain for the discouragement that hits us between the eyes after about three (3) months of our own high activity with little or no rewards to show for it.

Unfortunately, this is what those “free” advertising methods get us in the end. We work our tails off, but don’t seem to get any results. And then when we go sour on the marketing approach we are taught by our upline, and when we get our bellies full of it, there is hardly anything they can say or do at that point – we just want out.
