If you want to cultivate a successful MLM business, then you must assume the role of a capable leader because you will need to create a productive team. This be the case, you need to seek out every opportunity possible to stretch yourself and fit into that role. Let us look at a two (2) things that you can start doing immediately.

You need to start becoming the source of leadership events in your local community. Make a commitment to hold regular meetings at your home or office. Keep in mind that this doesn’t necessarily have to be events pertaining to your network marketing businesses. Your goal here is to practice taking the leadership role as often as possible. Community services are a great option for this exercise as they are voluntary and most people will stand aside and let you take control. Start cutting your teeth in your community and then start applying what you learn in your business.

Here’s big bonus that is guaranteed to get your role as a leader established. Volunteer to speak at meetings that you are not sponsoring. Start planning and memorizing a series of 10-15 minute talks that you can give at anytime to anyone. The topics for these talks should be general topics to which most people can relate. This is a very bold thing to do because no one likes public speaking. So you will stand out from the crowd by doing this.

Start incorporating these actions at every possibility. When attending seminars, sit near the front and ask questions. When working on team projects at work or at your church, volunteer to be the team spokesperson and the one who presents the conclusion to the board or the audience. Don’t think about your fears; just take action before they have any voice in your mind.

If you keep doing this, you will discover that more people will associate you with the role as a leader and then they will start following you. This process will continue to snowball and it will eventually reach critical mass when you will start attracting an unbelievable number of people to your team.
