Do you have a bulging list of prospects to which you can send information and offers? Why not? Believe it or not, this is a very critical part of your business as a network marketer. Why? Because let’s fact it, the conversion percentages on leads are smaller than your average online sales conversion. This is due to the fact that not everyone is cut out for the MLM business in the first place.

The Beauty of a Customer List

You might be asking – what does all this have to do with a customer list? Well, because those conversion numbers are so low, you will need to turn some of those non-conversions into paying customers in order to stay in business. If they don’t join your main business, then perhaps later they would be interested in an affiliate product that you could offer them. Better yet, maybe they would even buy two or more affiliate items from you. This is what will finance your marketing expenses as you seek out associates for your main business.

Offer Them a Great Free Report

The first thing you will need is a good ebook or report to give away to people in your niche. Here is an easy way to do that. Go to the website, ezinearticles.com and find about ten (10) good articles about your niche. You will want to select articles that solve common problems in that niche. Keep in mind that you can reproduce these articles as long as you include the author’s name and link to their website as well as a link and acknowledgement to the ezinearticle website. Put these articles into a booklet and include a table of contents along with a title page and WHAM – you have free booklet to offer. All you need to do at this point is to convert that booklet into a pdf document. Here is the tool that I use to do that: Click Here for PDF Converter

Design a Killer Lead Capture Page

The second thing you will need is to design a lead capture page for your website. You want to put together a small sales message that offers your free booklet in exchange for a subscription to your newsletter. Your sales message should include the benefits offered from the free booklet. Here is a sample lead capture page that you can use as a guideline: Sample Lead Capture Page

Get a Good Reliable Autoresponder

Next, you will need to sign up with a good autoresponder. This is a service that will send out prepared emails automatically to your customers at predetermined times. This is also where you construct your opt-in box that collects the customer’s name and email address – like the one on the sample lead capture page. These services charge a minimal monthly fee and are well worth the price. They know how to get your emails delivered in this world of spam filters. The one most people use is Aweber. Write Your Email Series

Finally, you will need to write a series of emails to send your customers. You will need to prepare a Welcome email right away to include along with the free booklet as an attachment. This will be the first thing they get from after signing up. Then you will want to send them information every 2-3 days. Let me make a suggestion to you. During the first few weeks, don’t try to sell them anything. In fact, it is a good idea to give them a couple of surprise free bonuses during the first few weeks that are very cool. Also, give them great information that is useful to them. You want to build some trust with your list. After that, you can try to soft sell them something about every third email or so.

Prosper Big with a Big List

Also keep in mind that you can always broadcast an impromptu email offer to your entire list whenever a great deal comes along that they might enjoy and benefit from. Whenever your list gets really big, just one of these offers could net you several thousand dollars.
