This is a topic that is addressed by very few people in the network marketing arena. I would bet you 10 to 1 that the training plan in your MLM organization does not even mention how to manage your emotions. The sad thing is that emotions plays a huge role in how well we perform in promoting the opportunity – this is particularly true with new people.

The MLM industry is one that is pursued by those who have never owned a business before. From the very beginning, they lack the skills and discipline necessary to succeed in this business. They suddenly find themselves way outside their comfort zones and what’s worse, they are fighting the enormous emotion known as the fear of failure.

When this happens, their entire existence depends on each and every lead they get. Not really of course, but to them it feels that way. They start seeking that elusive secret of success that everyone else has but them. Every dollar spent on marketing becomes a gamble, every call not returned becomes personal. Pretty soon, the one event will occur that will cause them to quit altogether.

What do you see in this scenario? What you see is that emotions are running the whole show. Does any of this sound familiar to you?

The big problem is there are no feelings of abundance. What you have to understand is that your abundance mentality is exactly what you need to attract recruits, to attract earnings, and to attract overall success in your business.

To enhance your chances of success in the network marketing industry, you must dump your emotions. You have to get to the point where you feel no differently when a prospect joins your team or when they reject your opportunity. The first thing you have to do is not take it personal. Not everyone is cut out for MLMs and the very last thing you want is something who will not perform well – that’s a waste of everyone’s time and money.

The next thing you can do is put business in terms of numbers and conversions. This will depersonalize the whole process. And if it is depersonalized, then it won’t hurt your feelings. Look at it in terms of I have to approach 25 people to get one good lead. Or I have to mail out 100 sales letters to 5 responses into my autoresponder. With this information, you will know what to expect and you can then work on improving your numbers.

In conclusion, just remember that your emotions will absolutely sink you in the MLM business if you don’t control them. Put everything in perspective and you will become a great success in no time at all.

Some years ago, I heard a quote that really blew me away regarding how we limit ourselves. The quote was “We have infinite limits of what we can accomplish minus our belief systems.” Let that sink in for a moment. The way we think is the only difference between ourselves and say, a self-made billionaire or a world class athlete. I found this to be absolutely amazing. Do you think this might be influencing your MLM Opportunities and activities?

Our own minds are what holds us back from what we want to achieve. The bad news is that our belief systems are products of many many years of programming. These programs are internal statements that have been molded from past experiences, our parents, teachers, and peers. Over time, we have convinced ourselves that this statements are true.

The fact is that they MAY NOT be true. It may have just been true at that one instance in our lives. There are countless outside forces and influences that are present in our lives at any one given time. Circumstances are not always identical for a certain thought or activity. If two baseball teams were to play each other ten (10) times, no two games would be the same. You could say the same for a lot of your beliefs.

The good news is that changing beliefs does not cost anything; it just takes a commitment to see things differently. It takes an effort of visualizing how you would like your world to be rather than settling for what it presently is.

If you are presently involved in a network marketing idea or opportunity, there is no doubt at all that your belief system is exerting a heavy influence of your daily, weekly, and monthly results. If you do not like what that is, then why not try believing in what you would like it to be?
